Hollis Frampton (1936-1984) is an avant-garde icon—a pioneering filmmaker, art theorist, and photographer. He was also a co-founder of the highly revered SUNY Buffalo Department of Media Study program, serving as faculty from 1973-1984. The exhibition will feature Nostalgia and Critical Mass alongside rare photographs from the making of the films, courtesy of Dean Brownrout Modern/Contemporary. On June 20th (7:00pm), join us for the opening reception for this gallery exhibition that features select works by this legendary experimental media artist.
