State of the Wheel Technology

Squeaky Wheel’s equipment rental system has received a much needed upgrade. Starting on February 1st, 2009 all rental activity will be recorded using a new barcode system. All members renting equipment are now required to bring their membership card to make this system run as efficiently as possible. This system allows us to better track equipment rentals, and will speed up rental transactions. We are very excited about our new system, and hope you will be too the next time you rent equipment.

Along with our new equipment rental system, we have a variety of new equipment available for rental. The most exciting addition to our equipment arsenal is our new DVD duplicator and printer. This will allow Squeaky Wheel to offer large scale duplication services for just $1.75/disc with a full color printed disc. Or, you can bring in your own inkjet printable discs, and use the printer yourself for just $10/hr. Additional fees apply for disc authoring.

Squeaky Wheel also purchased a 30’ x 10’ green screen with stand. This screen is light and portable, and sets up in about 15 minutes, allowing you to quickly create exciting digital compositions. The screen and stand rents for $20/day.

We also have a new 100-watt battery powered light. This light is 3 times as bright as our older battery powered light, and lasts for 30 minutes of continuous usage. The light rents for $15/day.

Additionally, we’ve upgraded our light kits with an additional gel frame in each kit, along with a variety of colored gels to make your lighting more exciting. We also have new tripods, lavalier microphones, camera batteries, cables and headphones filling out our fleet of new equipment.
