Free and open to the public
Are you a media artist looking for support for your projects? Come to Squeaky Wheel to find out how you can be part of our Workspace Residency Program! Squeaky Wheel’s Workspace residency connects artists and researchers with time, space, and resources including up to $1500 in artist fees, and travel stipend and accommodations for applicants from outside of Buffalo, to support the creation of new work or to continue ongoing projects.
During this information session, Squeaky Wheel curator Ekrem Serdar will introduce the residency and its scope, and talk in-depth about the application and jury process. The Foundry’s Deb Sarlin will also be present to talk about the resources they offer. This is an excellent opportunity for artists and curators to find out how to make their applications stronger, and learn more about our exciting residency program. Applications for the Spring 2020 session will open in early September 2019.
Stick around and see the projects of our current residents Dana McKnight, Dessane Lopez Cassell, and Jodi Lynn Maracle at Meet our Residents at 7pm.
The Workspace Residency program is presented with our partners at Buffalo Game Space, The Foundry, and Silo City. You can find out more about the Workspace Residency program here. A closed-captioned video-recording of this session will be made available on the page in late August.
