Buffalo, NY, June 12, 2018 — Squeaky Wheel Film & Media Art Center announces the appointment of three new board members in 2018.

The new appointments are CATHERINE LINDER SPENCER, FRED MEYER, and LEONARDO SETTE-CAMARA.

Representing a breadth of fields in art, fundraising, finance, law and health care, they join at a crucial time of capacity building and growth for Squeaky Wheel.” Maiko Tanaka, Executive Director.

Catherine Linder Spencer is an award winning, Buffalo born, Buffalo based artist, who has exhibited widely in museums and galleries throughout Western New York including the Albright Knox Art Gallery, the Burchfield-Penney Art Center, Buffalo Art Studio, Indigo Art and Western New York Book Arts Center and in major cities throughout the United States. She served on the board of directors at Hallwalls Contemporary Arts Center for a number of years as well as countless not for profit organizations in Western New York. She was a longtime member of City of Buffalo Arts Commission and City of Buffalo Arts and Cultural Funding Advisory Board.

Linder Spencer brings her experience assisting countless organizations in Western New York as volunteer, advocate, and fundraiser to Board of Directors’ Fundraising & Development Committee.

Fred Meyer is an Administrative Vice President at M&T Bank. He holds a Master of Science in Professional Applied and Computational Mathematics and a Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics from the State University of New York College at Buffalo and is a certified Financial Risk Manager.

Meyer brings to the board his interest in technology and his expertise in finance and data analysis. Joining the Governance Committee, Meyer will help to ensure team capacity will grow with a commitment to racial equity and an eye to fiscal sustainability.

Leonardo Sette-Camara is the Corporate Compliance and Privacy Officer for Catholic Health System. He is a dedicated, highly skilled healthcare attorney with corporate compliance, corporation law and civil service experience. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Media Studies and English graduating with Highest Distinction, Cum Laude from SUNY Buffalo in 2000, and his JD from the State University of New York at Buffalo Law School.

Sette-Camara joins Squeaky Wheel’s Governance Committee. In addition to his knowledge and passion for film and media art, he brings in his legal experience in a variety of matters to help ensure Squeaky Wheel is managed in accordance with State and Federal Laws and in line with best practices for governance and human resources.

Squeaky Wheel Film & Media Art Center is a non-profit arts organization serving the Western New York community and beyond for over 33 years.
