Squeaky Wheel seeks dedicated lab monitors to greet guests and act as ambassadors of the organization. Lab monitors keep the Media Lounge tidy and work with our Technical Director, Mark Longolucco. Perks include free time to work on independent projects in the Media Lounge‚ with access to Lynda Tutorials! Shifts are 12-5pm, Tues-Sat. Minimum commitment of 5 hours/week. Work across media platforms to raise awareness for Squeaky Wheel’s exciting programs. Gain first-hand knowledge as you work with Squeaky staff to coordinate draft, design and publicize promotional materials for programs and events with an emphasis on social media. Working closely with Curator Ekrem Serdar, the Curatorial Intern will help organize, promote, and support Squeaky Wheel’s screenings, exhibitions, and special events. There is also an optional opportunity for the Curatorial Intern to propose and develop their own public program to be presented by Squeaky Wheel. A commitment of 10-12 hours per week is required. If you are a student and are interested in doing this for credit, please note that you must be a junior, senior, or graduate student, and over the age of 21. The position offers hands-on learning opportunities in donor stewardship, grant writing, and special event planning for a small non-profit organization. Refine your skills in this focused internship as you work on a team with staff and other interns to shoot, edit and distribute Artgrease episodes for various web platforms and Broadcast TV, event and program documentation, video interviews with resident and visiting media artists, and more. Equipment & Tech
Assist the Technical Director with equipment cage organization, and equipment maintenance. Get behind the scenes experience with event set up, camera operation, and the function of an array of audio and video hardware.
