Our spring session starts off with a special sound-based workshop with Workspace Resident, Zain Alam. Through sampling, remix, and synthesis techniques students will create collages using sounds, photos, and videos. The workshop aims to empower youth not only to look at their favorite media as a model for their own collages but also to question what it means to “borrow” ethically from others.

Are you interested in stepping into the exciting world of 3D animation? These workshops will introduce animation practices, animating/understanding rigs, lighting, camera work, rendering, and texturing. Through a series of projects, students will learn to create and develop their 3D animations with the professional 3D software, Maya.

Can’t do both workshops? No problem! These workshops are designed so participants in both sessions will increase their knowledge while new students can join without previous animation experience.

Digital Arts and Technology Access Program (DATA) is a media arts and technology program designed for neurodivergent individuals ages 13-26. Learn more about DATA.

How are we preventing the spread of COVID-19?

• Squeaky Staff and instructors are fully vaccinated 
• Prior to and after class equipment will be properly cleaned with 70% Isopropyl alcohol
• Stations will be placed with a minimum of three feet distance from each other
• Participants and instructors will be required to wear a mask covering both their mouth and nose
• We’re following CDC and NYS guidelines for capacity
