Though visuals are the flashy, stand-out part of your film, conventional wisdom is that sound is actually more important.  Capturing good sound, however, can be a bit tricky.  By focusing on open-air recording and the production of foley, this workshop will give you the foundation you need in equipment, practice, and software to bring your audio up to snuff.  Learn about:

• Common types of mics and their uses
• Basic audio recording practices
• Recording interfaces and terms
• Sound-editing software, including freeware alternatives to industry-standard applications
