Sound Production

Learn the practice of planning, recording, & editing sound for use in short films, documentaries, or promotional videos. This workshop will cover the core components of sound design, from basic capturing techniques to the nuanced nature of foley. Participants will be introduced to REAPER, a low cost, and complete, cross-platform multi-track digital audio production software. The class will be a project based. Participants will collaborate to create short-form podcasts will all the production bells and whistles!

Topics include:

• Listening to and identifying various sonic techniques
• Foley production
• Intermediate audio recording techniques
• Syncing external audio for film
• Sonic Storytelling

Members $135 | Non-Members $175

Registration must occur at least three days prior to the start date of the workshop. Cancellations must take place 48hrs before to receive a refund. No walk-ins accepted.
